Hi my name is Nicole Stockton and I am 16 years young, I am an enthusiast of all things “Health, Beauty, Fashion & Life” related. I decide to create this blog in June 2015 after looking through the many brilliant lifestyle blogs out there, I wanted to inspire people and share my love of healthy beneficial foods by posting some of my favourite plant based lifestyle recipes. I also wanted to share my love of fashion, makeup and sports interests. Even if only a couple of people read the blog posts I try to upload every week, I don’t care because I just want to inspire at least 1 person out there.

I decided to change my diet to a plant based lifestyle in April 2015, after getting fed up of the unrewarding variety of processed foods I was eating, which just made me regret them after .I had little energy, constantly snacked and felt like I was in a vicious cycle. The junk food cycle is when our bodies constantly crave the bad fats and sugars we are stuffing into our guts . After a while, we have energy lows when artificial fats and sugars have worn off, leaving us drained of energy. The body constantly craves these sweet foods, leading to over snacking, so people do not have proper wholesome meals.

I also felt so insecure about the way I looked and wanted to change, so I turned my life around and now I look and feel so much happier in myself. Many of you might ask, why I would stop eating the delicious irresistible processed variety of foods available to us now. But there is one main reason I follow every day, that we should all treat our bodies with respect as we only get one. I always refer to the Buddha quoted “Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the greatest relationship”. whatever I eat I know what nutrients I am putting into my body and what the nutrients will do to me. so I eat completely natural meals made from wholefoods such as fruit, veg, grains, nuts and seeds, pulses and legumes.However I do have a treat from time to time such as dark chocolate, but it all has to be vegan. I have completely cut out junk food, dairy and meat from my diet, sticking to a healthy plant based lifestyle. A plant based lifestyle is tecnically a vegan lifestyle as I do not rely on meats or dairy. But people to this day have bad misconceptions of what a vegan is. People’s lack of understanding of good health and maximum nutrition, leads to negative assumptions about me and my lifestyle. That is why I want to show people that living a healthy lifestyle is full of so many pleasures, I don’t know how I didn’t know about it before,healthy foods does not have to be boring. I often get asked, why do you not eat meat ?, or how can you not eat junk food ?, or most often what do you eat?, but I am a veagn for health reasons, not cruely or the environment. However i am slowly moving to that side, as i am discovering what negative effects human have on the world. Just because I don’t eat junk food doesn’t mean I am missing out, in fact you can often still eat foods such as pizza by substituting a few ingredience, one of my favourite pizzas in a butternut squash one I have done a previous blog post about.

So why not try to change your lifestyle cutting out junk food and replacing it with healthy nourishing ingredients bit by bit making you physical healthier and spiritually and mentally better about yourself.

I also love cycling and skiing, they are not just rewarding for the body but fill me with so much  joy. I always feel free out in the elements. I got into skiing when I went on school ski trips to Andorra and Vermont. My dad got me into cycling and showed me the fun you can have in the open country side instead of just sitting at home. I believe it’s important to do lots of regular exercise, but it shouldn’t be a chore, people should pick exercise they feel comfortable and able in. But remember being truly healthy is not just about exercise but crucially  having a balanced diet.

As for fashion and makeup I was never an expert, but I love the fact you can transform yourself into someone you feel proud of. Throughout my high school year I was so shy and timid. But whenever I go out, I can transform the timid shy personality, felling so confident and good about myself. My love of fashion and make up is inspired by my favourite youtuber celebs, they are an inspiration to millions. Whenever I put on makeup and choose a cool outfit from one of my favourite shops I feel so much happier, and that why I have always been amazed about the thousands of great makeup products and clothes you can choose, in order to transform your appearance and especially your mood. You can go for a different look based on your favourite stars.

  1. Wow for a 16 year old you are off to a great start at blogging and thinking about life my dear. I am proud of you and I do not even know you.:) I am glad you also are not big into meats or junk food as I am not either. I have NEVER liked candy or junk food much, and I only eat chicken once in a while for meat as I am on a very strict heart health diet.
